The Civil Guard in the region of Murcia has developed during the months of February, March and April the operation "TREATS", in the towns of Eagle, Sewer, Torreagüera and Murcia, designed to clarify the commission of several robberies, which has resulted with the arrest of three people suspected of committing the offenses of robbery with violence and intimidation, receiving stolen effects, forgery and theft status.
The police investigation was initiated following a sequence of robberies that occurred between days 23 and 26 February 2012, when it developed in the town of Aguilas, its famous Carnival celebrations, with massive influx of visitors.
In a short time there were three robberies in which the author, who used unusual violence and intimidation on the victims, used to atemorizarlas a kitchen knife he was carrying large hidden in the sleeve of his jacket.
In one of the victims locked in the toilet of his own business establishment while threatened with a knife and took possession of his loot.
Another person was addressed in a public street, the victim tried to escape and fell to the ground where the author intimidated with the knife and took the bag he was carrying.
The third victim, also addressed in the street, he felt the robber put a knife in the side while ordering him to throw down the bag and carried on walking without looking back.
Once aware of the facts, the Civil Guard established a research device, developed for two months until finally, thanks to the data obtained by researchers and especially the cooperation of citizens, was identified fully suspect in the robbery that were investigated.
At the same time expanded the investigation of the effects recovering stolen from the victims and managed to detain two others on charges of receiving stolen property and falsifying commercial documents as friends of the perpetrator of the robberies.
Detainee
As part of this operation has proceeded to the arrest of two people, the first suspicion of three counts of robbery with violence and intimidation, and the following for the crimes of receiving stolen goods, theft and forgery marital status, identified as :
- Spanish 34-year-old resident of Eagles.
- Moroccan, 41, who lives in Eagle.
- Spanish, 19 years and resident of Torreagüera-Murcia.
Two of the detainees with a history of committing similar crimes.
Effects retrieved:
The agents have been recovered from the effects stolen as mobile terminals, which after being brought to justice have been returned to their rightful owners.
The detainees, recovered and proceedings initiated effects have been brought to justice in the court of guard Lorca (Murcia).
