The Municipal Socialist Eagles believes the PP cut 3,000 million euros, collected in the State Budget, impairs the quality of teaching by the drastic reduction of teachers and increasing the number of students per classroom.
The Socialists are indignant because aquiline also disappear cooperation programs with the autonomous regions and municipalities, as in the case of Educa 3 program for the promotion of the first cycle of Infant and School 2.0, an essential progress in the introduction of ICT (Information Technology and Communication) in education.
The reform announced by the central government of the PP, involves changes in the educational system to be added to the cuts approved in December 2010 by the autonomous government, Valcárcel.
The main consequences of these are:
- A drastic reduction in the number of teachers, which will be available less splittings, fewer remedial classes and less attention to students and families.
- The removal of the ceiling of hours per week taught by these teachers, setting a minimum of 25 hours in primary (now this was the maximum) and 20 in high school.
- The teachers' working time will remain the same, but have less time for other building activities, prepare lessons, meet the families or to grade papers.
- The RD Act increases the legally required students per class in elementary school involved in changing from 27 to 30 and in Secondary Education from 30 to 36.
These conditions will lead to a clear decline in the quality of education and undoubtedly will raise rates drop, get low test scores and is going to run down the right to education. "This decline in educational quality has been recognized even by the minister Wert "and also have consequences that will make us weaker to a change in economic growth model and us away from achieving a solution to the crisis.
