The mayor of Senior Citizens, Ana Maria Miñarro, and the president of the Municipal Center on Aging, Juana Gonzalez, met today with the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, to discuss various issues related to this area.
This meeting marks the first touchdown of the local chief executive with the re-elected president, after elections last April, which was won by the candidate headed by Juana Gonzalez.
Ana Maria Miñarro has used this meeting to present the new program of activities organized by the Department on Aging, for the months of May, June and July, a wide range including music, dance, lectures, routes or virtual tours the world, among other events.
The mayor reported that the events begin today and end on July 25, with the traditional Gala Golden Age, which will host several performances and delivery of awards to different partners.
Similarly, Miñarro also noted that "one of the novelties of this new season, is that partners will have a news agenda which detailed the planned holiday and leisure activities in the locality."
Finally, the council has stated that "our ancestors must have the same opportunities as other citizens to enjoy their leisure time, because after a lifetime working, now up to them to live this stage to be be superior performance. "
