Under the heading also attended: the mayor of Health, Ana Maria Miñarro, the veterinarian and Councillor of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Francisco Navarro, president of the Columbine Association for the Protection of Animals and Plants (AGUIPROAN), Maria Luisa Mataix, and local veterinarian, Manuel Sansegundo.
Bartolome Hernandez said that "through this agreement, the municipality will become part of the computerized Central Register of the Autonomous Community of Murcia, which will immediately locate the owner of any companion animal identification system provided by microchip and improve our canine census. "
Hernandez wanted to clarify that the city ordinance on animal husbandry, requires the identification of all dogs through the aforementioned method, a necessary element to any location of a dog attack a citizen, or just to find the owner of a lost pet.
The initialling ceremony concluded with the demonstration of the implantation of a microchip in one of the dogs that currently houses AGUIPROAN, when the authorities have taken responsibility to ask when buying any pet.
