The mayor of Eagle, Bartolomé Hernández Giménez, and Council of Employment and Agriculture, Charles Bartholomew and Francisco Navarro, respectively, have held a working meeting with union representatives of the UGT and CCOO, Antonio Fernandez, Angel and Manuel Pérez Torregrosa.
The meeting is part of the series of contacts that the local executive is taking place with the social partners of the municipality, in order to join forces and work together in strengthening the main productive sectors of the locality and generate new jobs Eagles work.
After the meeting, the mayor has said that this meeting is in addition to those who have recently taken place with agricultural employers and representatives of the service sector, for the same purpose, since the objective is identical to "create jobs and improve their quality workers and entrepreneurs are encouraged and establish a common front in the growth of the local economy. "
For his part, Secretary CCOO employment in the Region of Murcia, Angel Torregrosa, has welcomed the fact that the municipal government has fostered an environment in which social partners can contribute their proposals.
Similarly, Torregrosa stated that "we must maintain and modernize agriculture, while other sectors such as enhance tourism, offering training and stable contracts for workers".
Finally, the district secretary of the UGT, Antonio Fernandez, has also described this meeting as "very positive", clarifying that "it is essential for coordinating the City Council agree, in a single table, the various actors and forces" .
Fernandez has coincided with the other participants, when stressing the importance of complementing agriculture and tourism, taking advantage of periods of unemployment to provide training to workers.
