The mayor of Eagles and the director of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, by the Councillor for Education and the coordinator of the campaign, presided this afternoon at the closing ceremony.
The Ministry of Education, Training and Employment, through the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, and the City of Eagle, have developed a campaign year "Grow in Security" on which more than 300 students belonging to 7 schools in the locality.
With this campaign, the participating administrations claim that children between 5 ° of primary education, which addresses this action, be aware that daily are subject to risks that can affect their physical integrity and that it is necessary to avoid know and take the necessary preventive measures.
Through lectures, taught by professionals in the company "Sico and Safety Engineering", they have been informed of these hazards, with particular emphasis on the right of everyone to be informed about the risks of our activities and measures necessary preventive, to avoid the situation in claim accrues.
The campaign ended today with a ceremony presided by: the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, and the director of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, Thomas Perez, along with the Councillor for Education, Francisco Clemente, and the campaign coordinator, John Charles Simon, who have awarded the prizes of the drawing contest which demonstrate the knowledge acquired by children and the risks they may be subject, as well as preventive measures they must use, achieving the goal of the campaign, which is none other than raising public awareness of the importance of adopting safe habits in their performances, to get work environments in which no worker disrupted their physical integrity.
According to the authorities present at the event, this campaign is to create a habit in school to accompany them throughout their lives, both short and long term, and so when they enter the labor market as workers or entrepreneurs, accomplished in them naturally, the obligations set forth in the Law on Prevention of Occupational Risks, consisting know the risks and preventive measures of an activity prior to its realization.
