A total of 69 young volunteers from all over Europe participate this week in the youth hostel Calarreona in Eagles, on the Intermediate Evaluation Seminar of the European Voluntary Service (EVS), set in the Youth in Action organized by the Spanish National Agency .
The seminar is designed for foreign volunteers who develop EVS projects in Spanish host organizations, and aims to promote European citizenship among young people, developing solidarity and tolerance and mutual understanding.
This meeting also aims to provide resources to improve the projects developed through the European Voluntary, increase motivation and seek learning processes and to analyze the program's impact on local communities from the perspective of multicultural learning and build European citizenship.
Participants develop volunteer in local youth organizations and social associations, cultural or environmental impact of Andalusia, Cantabria, Castile and Leon, Castile-La Mancha, Catalonia, Valencia, Extremadura, Galicia, Madrid, Navarra, Basque Country and Murcia .
Unique opportunity
The European Voluntary Service offers young people between 18 and 30 the unique opportunity to improve or acquire skills that foster their personal development and professional education and to promote social integration and express their personal commitment through its participation in voluntary activities in a foreign country.
Youth can participate in a wide range of activities related to culture, sports, social care, cultural heritage, arts, civil protection, environment and development cooperation, among others, being the common link of all, its dimension intercultural learning.
