The confirmation comes after a meeting this week between the mayor of Eagles and the Director General of Water.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Water of the Autonomous Community of Murcia has been the scene of a meeting this week and that took part: the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, the Director General for Water, Joaquin Grin, and Councilman of Agriculture, Francisco Navarro, as well as technical of the two administrations, José Luis Perez, engineer of roads, canals and ports on the general direction of the water, and Enrique Delgado, a biologist and technical environment of the City of Eagles.
Among the issues discussed at this meeting included the approval as a project under the Operational Programme 2012-2015 European Cohesion Fund for the "expansion and improvement of the Wastewater Treatment Station Urban Municipality of Eagles."
According to local authorities have said the main objective of this project will obtain a good quality of treated water, allowing different uses in addition to agricultural irrigation.
The final forecast is to give the municipality a treatment plant to 110,000 inhabitants, two-line debugging of 6,000 m3/day and an average capacity of 12,000 m3.
Similarly, the type of construction will be prepared to include a third, which can accommodate a capacity of 175,000 inhabitants, which could serve a large population growth in the next 15-20 years.
In addition to this ambitious project, during the meeting discussed other issues of equal importance to Eagles, such as expanding the network of drinking water, intending to reach areas that lack it, and improve the impact of watershed to the municipality to heavy rains.
