The Consistory aquiline and the Municipal Sports Board organized last night at the Auditorium "Infanta Elena", an act of public recognition to the best clubs and athletes of 2011.
The Auditorium and Convention Center "Infanta Elena" Eagles last night welcomed the Sports Gala, an event organized by the Consistory aquiline and the Municipal Sports Board, to pay tribute to athletes and clubs that have stood out during the 2011 season in the different sports, getting victories in various competitions.
During the massive event, chaired by the mayor of Eagle, Giménez Hernández Bartolomé and the Councillor for Sports, Diego Martínez Parra, and also attended a remarkable number of councilors of the Municipal Corporation, were awarded more than fifty awards to clubs and athletes who managed to get on the aquiline podium of honor during last season, in sports such as tennis, triathlon, duathlon, aquathlon, rowing, fishing, cycling, hockey, soccer, archery, athletics, handball, volleyball, basketball , pigeon, wrestling, sailing, swimming, karate and sport in schools, among others.
The evening also made time to recognize the work of: volunteers, organizations, and law enforcement bodies and health, triathlon international judges, referees, and even sports council of the whole democratic era, and a recognition of the manager of the Sports Board Municipal.
The evening also had especially emotional moments, like the posthumous recognition Palazón John Perez, a lifetime sport.
Similarly, during the gala also honored the columbine Maitane Lopez Millan, a member of the Spanish National Team and also to the aquiline: Ramón Arcas Cardenas, who plays for Racing de Santander, and Maria Soto Bravo, the first player football division in the ranks of "Roland", plus many others, among whom were internationals: Rafael Baraza, José Antonio Exposito and Juan Francisco Paredes.
