Under the theme "Breastfeeding: a social commitment" Congress is declared to be of health by the Health Service of Murcia.
This morning took place the opening of the Ninth National Conference on Breastfeeding, health interest declared by the Health Service of Murcia, in which nearly two hundred women.
The act has been borne by: the mayor of the City of Eagle Health, Ana Maria Miñarro, the deputy director of the Area III of the Region of Murcia, Concepcion Ortega, the president of the Spanish Federation of Pro-Breastfeeding (FEDALMA ), Sofia Bagüés, and the president of the Association of Breastfeeding Happy Eagles, Julia Sanchez.
Under the theme "Breastfeeding: a social commitment" will be held Friday and Saturday morning at the Auditorium and Congress Centre "Infanta Elena".
The conference will feature prominent speakers, including the famous obstetrician, Michel Odent, one of the most notable proponents of natural childbirth and initiation of breastfeeding within one hour of birth.
According to organizers, this type of conference aimed at recovering the role of breastfeeding because mothers do not breastfeed just because it is better and protects against infection, but also because it is a right and a part of the life cycle of women to which they not want to give, in fact every day is increasing.
Breastfeeding is not only beneficial to the child but also for the mother to the environment and for society in general, hence the importance of this conference that examines the social commitment.
