The mayor of the City of Eagle Woman, Maria Patrocinio Martinez, accompanied by her namesake in Tourism, Clara Valverde, closed yesterday included the last workshop in the first half of activities organized by that council, a complete program that began last January and which have been happening: workshops, courses and conferences, aimed primarily at women of the town.
For six months, the workshops: languages, health, archeology, photography, computers, history, reading and creative writing, have alternated with lectures on equality or legal issues in couples, among other symposia.
In the closing ceremony, the councilors were accompanied by the students of the sailors knots workshop, organized by the Tourism Competitiveness Plan "Eagles, Sea and Fisheries", which has been aimed at women bring an activity traditionally developed by men and that thanks to Vicente Soler, a master of this art, the participants have found it a skill where creativity and practical applications have infinite space, historically linked to a fishing village as Eagles.
