The XXVII Fishing Contest "Villa de Aguilas" gathered last weekend in the town 47 couples belonging to fishing associations from different regions.

Participants came together at a place between the tower and Siscar Cope, from 21.00 hours on Saturday to 07.00 hours Sunday in a tournament where you have caught 110 kilos of fish, spread over 1162 parts.

After weighing, by the commissioners and judges of the test, yesterday morning Sunday, August 5, the bar "Basel" hosted the awards to the winners, with the mayor of Eagle, Bartholomew Hernandez Gimenez, Councillor of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Francisco Navarro, and the presidents of the Association of Sport Fishing "Village of Eagles", Luis Martinez and Antonio Asensio.

First Classified:

Overall winners and as many pieces: Michelangelo and Maria Pastor Coy, the Club "Santa Lucia" in Cartagena, with 102 pieces.

Major piece: Andres Hernandez and Esteban Escarabajal, the Sport Fishing Association "Town of Eagles."
