The exhibition was inaugurated today by: the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, Admiral General of the Navy, Sebastian Zaragoza, and the president of the Friends of the training ship "Juan Sebastián de Elcano", Jerome Martinez.
The Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel Eagles welcomes today until next Friday and Aug. 26 the photography exhibition "Elcano, day by day", authored by the late photographer sanluqueño Pedro Pizarro.
The exhibition, jointly organized by the Friends of the training ship "Juan Sebastián de Elcano" and the Department of Culture and Heritage of the City of Eagle, was inaugurated today by: the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez Gimenez, the former AJEMA and Admiral Sebastian Zaragoza Soto General and President of the association, Jerome Martinez, in a ceremony also attended by numerous guests and authorities, among whom was the Marquis de Aguilas, Alfonso Escamez, or the president of honor Mapfre Foundation, Julio Castelo.
The exhibition includes approximately 40 images that reflect the various activities carried out daily by the amounts to serve in the brig-schooner.
Among these include those related to the presence of the royal family on "Elcano" with various pictures of the royal family on the ship.
You can also view other photos which are former commanders of the ship, ex-AJEMAS today, Sebastián Zaragoza y Manuel Rebollo, and various snapshots associated with sequences such as "Elcano" leaving or arriving at Cadiz, at different levels and the surrender of official honors to the authorities, among others.
Finally, it should be noted that Admiral Sebastian Zaragoza overall for this exhibition has given several personal photographs of historical, having to do with his time in front of "Elcano" command that coincided with the ninth round the world.
