The Board of Directors of the State Water Mediterranean basins Acuamed under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment (MAGRAMA), has cleared its last meeting, two works tenders in the region of Murcia.
It is, on the one hand, the project to distribute desalinated water from the plant from the Cerro Colorado Eagles to Guadalentín Valley, and on the other, the stretch of Cañarico Branch, part of the expansion of the distribution network Valdelentisco desalination plant.
Both works added a total investment of over 20 million euros.
The water supply system from the Cerro Colorado basin Guadalentín Valley in Murcia, will distribute the water produced by the desalination Eagles / Guadalentín from said reservoir, located in Lorca at 365 meters, to the main points irrigation consumption Guadalentín Valley High.
That this conduct, the irrigation communities of Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras may take, respectively, 23 and 5 hm3 of water annually, as expected the agreements signed with Acuamed.
The transport capacity provided for in the design of this system is 32 hm3 of water annually, which will allow you to irrigate some 6,400 crop.
The maximum amount of bidding activity is of 18.2 million euros.
The papers included in the tendered project involves the construction of a pipeline connecting buried with taking the raft of Cerro Colorado.
Water from the desalination plant is transported by gravity Eagles along the valley of Alto Guadalentín to the raft of Torrecilla, distributing it to users through 7 output spread over the entire path.
The driver will have a length of about 21.5 km.

EXTENSION OF DISTRIBUTION NETWORK Valdelentisco
With respect to the branch of Cañarico work, it is the extension of the water distribution network of the Valdelentisco desalination.
It has a maximum tender budget of 1.17 million euros.
The play is set in the town of Alhama, in the province of Murcia, and reaches near the town of Cañarico.
Its purpose is to supply expansion to the irrigation area of ​​Alhama, with three annual hm3 of water for irrigation of about 690 ha of crops.
