During the regular plenary session of November, held last night at the City of Eagles, all the groups represented in the consistory (PP, PSOE and Mixed) approved the creation of a working group to assist people at risk of eviction and other aspects of this issue.

The above table will consist of one representative from each of the local political groups, a technician or management and that those affected, in order to the formal establishment of the same and delimitation of its protocol.

The measure was argued on the following:

Because of the deep economic crisis afflicting Spain, in which the dramatic reality of many families is reflected in situations of unemployment and lack of basic economic resources, breach of the obligations arising from loans or mortgage loans has increased , generating countless foreclosure processes, sadly, largely ending the homelessness of those affected.

The National Government, should not be delayed considering the adoption of measures to protect the right to enjoy decent and adequate housing as enshrined in Article 47 of the Constitution, approved by Royal Decree-Law 6/2012, of 9 March, on urgent measures to protect mortgage holders without resources, by establishing various mechanisms in order to restructure mortgage debts in cases of extraordinary difficulties of payment as well as the flexibility, under certain conditions, the execution of the collateral.

For these reasons, the Municipal Council of Eagles supported the adoption of the following resolutions:

First: To approve the establishment of a working group for the Care of People at Risk of Eviction and its protocol.

Second: The Council shall inform the financial institutions operating in the municipality the existence of this desk, its functions, composition and objectives, demanding of them to inform affected individuals of the content of the code of practice established by Royal Decree-Law 6/2012 of 9 March, on urgent measures to protect mortgage holders without resources, urging strict compliance.

Third: The City Council will ask financial institutions commitment in eviction proceedings, not to execute pitches, where families with children in school until the end of the school year.

Fourth, to issue prior agreements with the Federation of Municipalities of the Region of Murcia.
