This past weekend started the commemoration of the Bicentennial of the City of Eagle, through an exhibition was opened by the head of the local executive, Bartolomé Hernández Giménez, near the Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Francisco Miguel Martínez, and municipal archivist, Pepi Navarro, who joined other local officials and guests.
The show, which will be open in the Auditorium and Congress Palace "Princess Elena" until 10 December, entitled "1812-2012. A tour of the documents kept in the Municipal Archives" and she can find almost a hundred manuscripts, some of which come to light for the first time, among which are: records, books, brochures cultural celebrations programs and plans.
Among the most symbolic documents, stresses the minutes chapter of the constitution of the City of Eagle, dated December 8, 1812, and other curiosities, as royal charters of King Carlos III, or an original document of 1787, consisting of a lawsuit a columbine in requesting clemency for a neighbor who had been imprisoned for refusing to marry her.
The events continue tomorrow Tuesday, December 4, at 20:00 pm in the Cultural Hall Cajamurcia, with the launch of the bicentennial who wrote the official chronicler of the town, Luis Diaz Martinez.
On 8 December, exact date of the celebration, there will be an extraordinary plenary session, at 11.00 am in the consistory aquiline, after which we will proceed to discovery of a commemorative plaque.
