This past weekend was brought to a close, in the Auditorium and Congress Palace "Princess Elena" Eagles, the Ninth Edition of the National Amateur Theatre Contest "Paco Rabal," a game in which each year brings together four of the amateur best companies in our country.
Mayor Eagles, Bartolomé Hernández Giménez, and the Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Francisco Miguel Martínez, chaired the gala awards and trophies where the company Cantabrian "Corocotta Theatre" was the big winner of the night, thanks to the wonderful representation of his "bed Assault" by Juan Luis Mira.
The jury was as follows:
First prize (City of Eagles): 1.500 € + Trophy + Romea theater performance in Murcia, for the company "Corocotta Theatre", Reinosa (Cantabria), for the work "Assault of bed" by Juan Luis Mira.
Second prize (City of Eagles): 1,000 € + Romea theater performance in Murcia + trophy sponsored by the company "Samoa", for the company, "The theater moreover", Fuenlabrada (Madrid), for the play "I low in the next do you? "by Adolfo Marsillach.
Third prize (City of Eagles): 700 € + trophy sponsored by the Hotel Puerto Juan Montiel, for the company "Closed for Construction", Mairena del Alcor (Sevilla), for the work "Do not scream, Lucia", directed and Mariana Gonzalez dramaturgy.
Trophy for Best Director (Jewelry Clemente): José Andrés García Rodríguez, for the work "Assault of bed."
Trophy for Best Actress (Disco Tuareg): Concepción del Olmo, for his performance in the play "I get off at the next do you?".
Trophy for Best Actor (Puerto Deportivo Juan Montiel): Fernando Atienza, for his performance in the play "I get off at the next do you?".
Trophy for best scenography (Print Grafidemar): Company "Corocotta Theatre" by the book "Assault of bed."
Special Audience Award (Group today): Company "The other part theater" by the book "I get off at the next do you?".
Special Jury Mention: Theatre Group "Association of Performing Arts and Music" of Almansa (Albacete), for the work "must undo the house."
During the course of the Gala were awarded diplomas of the workshop also "Clowneando", an activity related to the event, consisting of theater courses aimed at people over 16.
The finale of the evening was provided by the company "Watchtower", National Theatre Award 2008, which staged the play "La Celestina" by Fernando de Rojas.
Thus concluded the Ninth Edition of the National Amateur Theatre Contest "Paco Rabal," which began on October 27 and now down the curtain until next year.
