Eagles hosted last weekend the XIX Party Farmer, a large number of activities that started on Friday with the help of Chinese children and continued on Saturday with the celebration of Holy Mass in the chapel of Garrobillo, a fellowship meal restaurant in Marina de Cope and two sporting events, a ribbon race and a football game.

One of the main novelties of this edition was the Farmer of the Year Gala, held Saturday night at the Auditorium and Congress Palace "Princess Elena", which featured numerous public and attendance: Mayor Eagles, Bartholomew Hernandez, the Minister of Agriculture and Water, Antonio Cerdá, Councillor for Agriculture, Francisco Navarro, general secretary of ASAJA-Murcia, Alfonso Gálvez and the senses of the Association of Young Farmers of Eagles, Jose Martinez, among other authorities.

During the ceremony paid tribute to Antonio Monserrat, technical Ministry of Agriculture and Water, for his contribution to the development of agriculture in the area.

Also, it was learned the name of the winners as "Farmer of the Year", an award that went to the exploitation of Asensio Pedro Hernandez and Maria Ascension.

The event ended with a concert by guitarist Murcia, Carlos Piñana.

On Sunday, the hamlet aquiline "Marina de Cope" hosted the last acts of this successful Farmer Festival, organized by the Eagles Farmers Association, in collaboration with the Foundation Cajamurcia and the Department of Agriculture of the City of Eagles.

The central event was the traditional contest of crumbs, which was divided into five jury composed of 25 groups and individuals who prepared pans tasted by 60 participants.

The event was attended by Mayor of Eagles, Bartolomé Hernández Giménez, accompanied by several councilors of the municipal corporation and representatives of BDA in Aguilas.
