The Exaltation of the Saeta IX "Villa of Eagles", organized by the Tradition and Folklore and the Department of Culture and Heritage aquiline consistory, held last weekend in the parish of San Jose, captivating the large audience.
The event was presented by Felix Cano, president of the association, and was attended by the archers aquiline: Juan Lorenzo "Jagüicas" Alonso Maria Contreras and Higueras.
Acted as guest artists: Antonio Mejias (saetero), Manuel Angel Calahorro (guitar) and the dancer José Luis Navarro, who woke the applause of all present to become the first dancer to accompany a saetero, something never seen before in an event of this nature.
The aquiline poet Pedro Vera was commissioned this year by reading letters passion, closing an emotional ceremony that concluded with the presentation of commemorative diplomas to participants and collaborators.
At the end of the Exaltation of the Saeta IX, Councillor for Culture and Heritage of the City of Eagles, Francisco Miguel Martínez, highlighted the high level reached in this issue and encouraged all those involved in this act to continue its efforts to achieve new successes in future appointments.
