Project Life + Cubomed is involved and supported by the Department of Sustainability of the Coast and the Sea, under the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment and has research centers responsible for the execution of this Agreement the University of Alicante and Institute of Marine Sciences of Barcelona (CISC).
For the development of one of the project, it is essential to the collaboration of the local administration and lifeguards on beaches for historical data collection assists in beaches, broken down by type of healing, including jellyfish stings and other features of these services.
To this end, the Assembly Local Eagles Red Cross in collaboration with municipalities of Aguilas (Murcia) and Pulpí (Almería) will help Research Centers aforementioned information available from previous campaigns, and the impact to occur this next summer, with the aim of obtaining real conclusions about whether or not an increase in the incidence of jellyfish stings on the beach, for, if it tas competent authorities take the necessary management measures.
