This morning was presented in the press room of the II session aquiline Half Marathon Night "Memorial Juan Palazón" during a ceremony that was conducted by the Councillor for Sports, Diego Martínez Parra, accompanied by Martin Patron Quereda Manuel and Francisco Ramirez, all members of the Eagles Athletics Club.
The competition, which this year will also include a test of 10 kilometers, will be held next Saturday, April 27, from 19:00 pm, leaving from the Plaza del Puerto (next to Icarus) arrival to the Esplanade Auditorium and Congress Palace "Infanta Elena".
The two races will be included in the "Running Challenge", organized by the regional league Athletics Federation of Murcia, which is composed of seventeen events spread throughout the Autonomous Community of Murcia in 2013.
Both the 10,000 meter race as the Half Marathon, of 21'097 miles, it will take for a street circuit which will tour areas: Paseo de Parra Puerto, Paseo de La Colonia and Iberia Street.
It is expected the participation of nearly 400 athletes, from different points of the Spanish geography, competing to qualify for the trophies to be awarded to the top three overall male and female and top three in each category.
Besides, how could it be otherwise, the organization maintain the "Trofeo Juan Palazón", created last year in memory of the late runner and Athletics Club member for many years, which is awarded to the first aquiline, aquiline to enter the goal.
The award categories are: Junior-Promise (1991-1995), Senior (1979-1990), Senior A (1974-1978), Senior B (1969-1973), Senior C (1964-1968), Senior D (1959 - 1963), Veteran E (1954-1958) and Veteran F (1953 and earlier).
As for the 10-kilometer test, trophies will be awarded to the top five overall male and female.
