This afternoon we have been visited by the Councillor for Youth and the director general of Gender Violence Prevention, Youth, Legal Protection and Juvenile Court.

Youth Councilman session aquiline, Juan José Asensio, and CEO of Gender Violence Prevention, Youth, Legal Protection and Juvenile Court, Veronica Lopez, attended this afternoon Intermediate Training Seminar European Voluntary Service (SEV) that from Monday until Friday and is being developed at the Youth Hostel Calarreona aimed at developing young people currently volunteering with Spanish host organizations.

This seminar, included in the program "Youth in Action" aims to create a meeting place for the exchange of experiences between volunteers and organizations, in order to solve specific problems and pose, together, serve improvement proposals to cover expectations of all stakeholders involved in the program and enhance the reality of the way projects are ultimately satisfied each and every one of the EVS quality objectives.

Youth in Action aim to inspire a sense of active European citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young people, and involve them in shaping the future of the European Union.

The program promotes mobility in and out of all these countries, non-formal learning, intercultural dialogue, employability and social inclusion.

Among the different actions carried out this program is the European Voluntary Service (EVS), which enables young people, aged between 18 and 30 years, a volunteer for 12 months in a country other than their residence.

This is a true service learning, since volunteers are formed in new skills and languages, and discover other cultures.

The course, which is being developed in Eagles, has the participation of 61 volunteers in Spanish host projects, belonging to the following Autonomous Communities: Andalucia, Cantabria, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Catalonia, Valencia, Extremadura, Galicia , Madrid, Navarra and Murcia, along with 12 tutors from different host organizations.

Sending countries volunteers are Germany, Belgium, Hungary, Netherlands, France, Russia, Poland, Armenia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Italy, France, Portugal, Croatia, Greece, Slovakia, Ukraine, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Romania, Latvia , Ireland, Czech Republic, United Kingdom, Lebanon, and Sweden.
