The beaches of "La Colonia" and "Las Delicias", located on the two main bays of the town, next to Calarreona have been awarded this seal of quality.
The Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), through the Association of Environmental and Consumer Education (ADEAC) in Spain, gave yesterday released the list of beaches and marinas that have been awarded the "Blue Flag 2013".
Councilman Cleaning and Environment in the Consistory aquiline, Isidro Carrasco, has reported that "this year the town has received a total of five awards, three of them flown in different beaches of the municipality of Eagles and the other two in the port sports "Juan Montiel" and the Marina.
The beaches in this edition have achieved the coveted award are those of "Calarreona", "Las Delicias" and "The Colony", the latter two located in the main bays of the municipality and therefore the most popular in the city.
Carrasco has indicated that the beaches of "Levante" and "West", which last year were awarded the badge, they have not succeeded this time, so the City of Eagle has already sent a letter to ADEAC with the intention to know the reasoning.
However, the council has indicated that they will continue to have in the summer with the usual services offered by Blue Flag beaches.
These certifications environmental quality, are a symbol, recognized and valued by tens of millions of users of beaches and ports, and world standard tourist ecocalidad promoted by the WTO (World Tourism Organization) and UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme Environment).
