The mayor of Eagle, Bartolomé Hernández Giménez, announced this morning that, after holding several contacts with Renfe, and one can say that on June 7 will resume rail service to Madrid, coinciding with the imminent arrival of the summer period and after the restoration of the line was heavily damaged by torrential rains last year.
Just hearing the news, the mayor expressed his satisfaction and gratitude of the people moved the Eagles to all those who supported him in this initiative so that the town can get back to having a rail service every weekend join the town with the capital of Spain.
The first train linking the cities will give next Friday from Madrid, at 15.30 hours, with the Eagles due to arrive at 22'10 hours, and leave again on Sunday, at 15'55 hours, setting the arrival time at Madrid Chamartin station at 22'10 hours.
Tickets will go on sale to give birth on Monday of next week.
Finally, Bartolome Hernandez wanted to highlight the benefits that this service offers in enhancing public transit between the two destinations and various intermediate points through which the train, as is the case in Albacete or Alcazar de San Juan, between others.
A fact which, no doubt, has a positive effect on tourism in the city, said Hernandez.
