Today Tuesday, June 4, the Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia (SEF) has released statistical data concerning the number of unemployed in May.
As reported by the local development council, Industry, Trade and Employment the City of Eagle, Charles Bartholomew, this report reflects an increase of three standing in the city, an increase mainly due to the end of the production cycle of lettuce, which has place between the months of April and May, which has caused a rise in unemployment in the agricultural sector.
Thus, other sectors such as services and construction are down in number of unemployed.
Similarly, in annual data (May 2012 to May 2013), Eagles, an increase of 2.06% in unemployed is below the regional average (3.69%) and national ( 3'75%).
This indicates that during the past 12 months, job losses in the town has been less than the whole of the region and the country.
On the other hand, as shown in the last Survey (LFS), relating to the first quarter, Eagles is more than 6 points below the regional average estimated percentage of unemployed.
With respect to this last fact, Charles Bartholomew said that "neither this, nor any other figure, however positive it will lead to complacency in Team, but will put all mechanisms at our disposal to generate new jobs in the municipality. "
