The Auditorium and Congress Palace "Infanta Elena" Eagles hosted this evening I Technical Seminar on Farming Alternatives, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Water and the session aquiline, with the collaboration of Cajamurcia.
Many farmers in the region and representatives of groups involved in the sector attended the event which was opened by the mayor of Eagle, Bartolomé Hernández Giménez, accompanied by the Director General of Food Industry and Agricultural Training in the Region of Murcia, Angel Garcia Lidón, and Councillor for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Francisco Navarro.
The program included several presentations on: varieties of citrus, stone fruit, grapes, Japanese loquat, pomegranate, avocado and other subtropical (cherimoya, mango and persimmon).
All present agreed to in highlighting the important conversion being done by the agricultural sector Eagles, combining traditional crops with the demands of new markets to remain competitive.
The event, which lasted about four hours, ended with a discussion on the issues raised in conferences and the intervention of Minister of Agriculture and Water in the Region of Murcia, Antonio Cerdá, responsible for closing the act.
