The Councillor for the Environment, Parks and Gardens of the City of Eagle, Isidro Carrasco, visited this morning the new Plaza del Doctor Fortun (The Placetón), which has installed the first charging point for electric vehicles in the municipality.
According to Carrasco said "charging station is in line with modern and functional image that has been given to this public space, opened last April, in addition to being located in a central location in the city."
The council wanted to clarify that "this action has had a zero cost to the municipal coffers, since it was one of the improvements offered by the firm CSL, company awarded the contract to build the new Placetón".
The charging point, made of stainless steel, has a maximum electrical power of 230 volt single phase outlet (16 amp) and features a double hook to service two cars simultaneously.
The approximate time of recharge, for a fully discharged battery, is 4-8 hours and drivers of electric vehicles may use the service through access cards that can be obtained in the City of Eagle.
