The proximity warning and Coordination Centre of Murcia Spanish Red Cross received the First Aid Base Eagles at 21:00 am on Saturday July 6, requesting the intervention of the boat LS Titania, attached to SASEMAR to evacuate the injured by sea, since according to the information received had symptoms develop several fractures, making it hard "a priori" removal by land.
Just be aware of the incident, the local Director of Health and Red Cross Disaster Relief Eagles, Miguel Angel Molina Gallego Rescuers activated several seals and Technical Aquatic Health Emergency in order to move to the aquiline hamlet which houses Calabardina the cave.
Alongside the Spanish Red Cross members appeared at the incident, members of the CEIS Park Fire Eagles and Lorca, several Civil Guard patrols, the EMU 8 Civil Protection members and finally members of Air Rescue Group Consortium (GRAC) and the City Council Public Safety, Francisco Clemente.
The victim, who was at a depth of 15 meters from the entrance of the cave, was evaluated, immobilized and stabilized "in situ", proceeding to carry out the patient's descent from the mouth of the cave to the boat LS Titania through a controlled rappel, to then move to Pier Águilas and from there into the unit 061 to the referral hospital for further tests.
