The Consistory aquiline today joined to the proposal from the Fundación Miguel Ángel Blanco, yielding a simple and moving tribute on the streets of the town that bears the name of the PP exconcejal Ermua (Vizcaya), kidnapped and murdered by ETA.
Bartolome Hernandez Gimenez, first city mayor, accompanied by several councilors of the Corporation and citizens of the town, recalled what happened in the month of July 1997, when more than six million people took to the streets across Spain in an attempt attempted to save the life of a young kidnapped for two days and finally was snatched cruelly life, causing social and political rejection unprecedented in our country, linking citizenship in a common revulsion against terrorist brutality.
In order to demonstrate the repudiation of the terrible moments lived for 16 years and prevent similar events happen again, has placed a bouquet of flowers and has held a minute of silence in memory of Miguel Angel Blanco.
