The Cajamurcia Cultural Hall this evening hosted the conference "Policies of Tourism and Local Celebrations in the Region of Murcia", organized by the Association of Political Science and Sociology of the Region of Murcia, with the collaboration of the municipalities of Aguilas, Lorca, Puerto Lumbreras and Caravaca de la Cruz and Cajamurcia entity.

They are intended for organizations related to the various manifestations of tourist and recreational holidays, political scientists and sociologists and the general public.

The opening has been borne by the council of Celebration of Eagles, Lorca and Caravaca de la Cruz: Clara Valverde, Sandra Martinez and Jose Francisco Garcia, by the political scientist and co aquiline of the day, John Lajarín.

Then the director of the Institute of Tourism of the Region of Murcia, Enrique Ujaldón, gave a talk on "Tourism policies in the Region of Murcia".

Then was held a round table on the coordination between administrations, organizations and citizens in the formulation and organization of local festivals.

Study was carried Carnival of Aguilas, Lorca Easter and festival in honor of the Blessed and Vera Cruz de Caravaca de la Cruz, with the participation of President of the Federation of Peñas Eagles Carnival, José Alonso; Vice President of White Pass, David Torres, Secretary General of the Royal and Illustrious Brotherhood of the Holy and Vera Cruz, Alfonso Morenilla, and moderated by the director of the Centre of Political Science and Sociology of the Region of Murcia and Dean of College of Political Science and Sociology of the Region of Murcia, Manuel Pleguezuelo.

The purpose of this day was the sharing of the main policies of festivities that undertake various municipalities of the Region of Murcia, and the way they articulate citizen participation in the planning and configuration of the various events.

The local festivals are an important part in the activity of the municipalities when dealing with events connected with the traditions and local culture, as well as involving cultural groups from each population.

The closing ceremony was performed by the dean of the College of Political Science and Sociology of the Region of Murcia, Javier Sierra, Vice President of the Regional Assembly, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, and the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez.
