The Ministry of Presidency investment bet in Eagles safety (25/07/2013)

The presidential advisor, Manuel Campos, said today "the commitment to investment in safety, because it allows you to better respond to changes in society and provide a safer environment for citizens."

He stated this during the working meeting held at Eagles with the mayor, Bartolome Hernandez, and his government team, which analyzed the status of major projects and topics of interest from a municipal perspective, in order to coordinate the action between administrations.

Campos argued that "to grow and adapt well to the needs of citizens, we need to invest in order to respond to their concerns," and an example of this commitment is the Safety Plan of the Ministry of the Presidency, which for the year 2013 allocated 600,000 euros to the City of Eagle to cover the actions of the 20 staff assigned to it.

In this line, the town, which has a staff of 71 effective local police, has received 3,829,522 euros in the six years of the Plan, launched in 2006, and other 72,605 euros from the Fund Police Functions Improvements.

During the meeting also reviewed the device for surveillance, prevention and rescue on the beaches of the municipality within the Surveillance and Rescue Plan in Playas and Rescue at Sea Region, Couplet Plan 2013, which activates during July and August its maximum device coinciding with the high occupancy of the beaches during those months.

Fields highlighted the importance of "ensuring security on the beaches as key to enjoy the holidays with ease at any of the beaches of the municipality and the region."

To do this, he said, "requires the full cooperation among administrations to develop measures that will benefit the thousands of visitors who are the beaches of the region."

The surveillance operation Eagles and rescue professionals consists of 33 newspapers in 14 remaining checkpoints strategically located in 11 local beaches, which are the Calorina, The Higuerica, Calarreona, The Shack, The Stove, Poniente, Matalentisco , The Colony, Las Delicias I and II, Águilas and Levante.

As for the means of search and rescue, the town has four inflatable boats, five canoes, kayak rescue tables or seven chairs for the disabled and an SUV, and a rescue boat, located in the fishing port of Aguilas and which is provided with a pattern and two volunteers.

Over 3.7 million improvements

The Ministry of Presidency has invested a total of EUR 3,763,089 for the last four years to improve the town.
