The mayor of Eagle and Senior Managing Director of Murcia Institute of Social Action (IMAS), along with the mayor of the Third Age and other officials attended a show last night that was held at the Plaza de Antonio Cortijo to honor grandparents
To coincide with the eve of Grandparents Day, the City of Eagle held the traditional Gala last night's Golden Age, which gave a fitting tribute to the elders of the town and especially the members of the Third Municipal Center age.
The event, held in the Plaza de Antonio Cortijo, with free admission, had numerous public and the presence of various authorities, among which are found: the head of the local executive, Bartolome Hernandez, the director general of the Instituto Murciano Seniors Social Action (IMAS), Enrique Perez Senior Councilwoman Ana Maria Miñarro, and the president of the Center, Juana Gonzalez.
The event included the debut of the Corps de Ballet of the Third Age and the award ceremony of the literary competition "Writers in the Golden Age", whose winners were: Maria Cabello, Carmen López, María Soledad Zuluaga, Consuelo Lopez, Alfredo Collado , Diego Rabal, Domingo García and Miguel Severino.
Similarly, recognized the work that volunteers and professionals from Red Cross and Civil Protection of Eagles lend to the largest in the county, not only in healthcare, but through courses and seminars that are organized by the Consistory aquiline.
Then held a projection that summarizes the activities in the Center on Aging and paid tribute to several of its members: José Robles, Dolores Diaz, Jose Montalban, embodies Gonzalez, Jose Jimenez, Angelines Mouños, John Bonilla and Maria Merina.
The evening ended with performances by: Larry "The man of a thousand voices", playing numerous issues top artists, and singers Raul Palomo and Manolo Ferre, who recalled the great successes of Rafael Farina and Antonio Molina.
