A total of forty couples, clubs belonging to different regions, participated last weekend in the Sport Fishing Contest XXVIII "Villa of Eagles", organized by the association that names aquiline this test.

With some swell, but with the sea suitable for fishing, participants gathered at the spot between the Torre de Cope and Sisco, from 21 am Saturday until 7 pm on Sunday, enjoying a day where captured 116 kilos of fish, spread over 1,020 pieces.

Once the weighing, by the commissioners and judges of this competition, the bar "Basel" welcomed yesterday morning on the awards to the winners, with the presence of the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, Council Member of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Francisco Navarro, and the presidents of the Sportfishing Association "Villa of Eagles", Luis Martinez and Antonio Asensio.

First classifieds:

Winners with the highest number of captured pieces: Francisco David Terrones and J.

Manuel Guillen, the Club "City of Lorca" with 102 pieces.

Major piece: Antonio Asensio and José Lorente, the Sportfishing Association "Villa of Eagles", with a bass that weighed a kilo and twenty grams.
