The date is not chosen at random, since such a day as this, in 2008, the last representative working aquiline esparto, Diego Roman Galvez, stopped for retirement from the company known as "The Moris".
The municipality has been linked to the production of straw from its founding in the eighteenth century and remained active until the mid-twentieth century, coming to represent a major source of income for its residents, with about 30 factories and 18 cookers of this plant steppe.

At the same time, in this central gazebo will be an exhibition on the development of raked esparto ropes, which made the spinners Bernardo Asensio and "The Moris", and local artisans will showcase their work, while pleita and recincho concoct.
At 22 hours, in the Plaza de Antonio Cortijo, there will be a concentration of "Mussonas" one of the characters Eagles Carnival 15 years ago was recovered from this ancient feast and whose clothing is made mainly of Esparto.
