He was elected in the afternoon yesterday, between 16 works from different regions (Catalonia, Asturias, Andalusia, Valencia and Murcia, among others).
The members of the jury were: the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, the mayor of Tourism and Celebrations, Clara Valverde, the president of the Federation of Clubs, José Alonso, the painter, Antonio Licerán, the graphic designer, Mario Clemente, and the Carnival 2013 characters.
The author of the winning poster is Juan Diego Ingelmo Benavente, 39 year-old from Oviedo (Asturias), though residing in Burriana (Castellón).
This annealing design artist has achieved many awards throughout his career, in different competitions, announcing events such as Easter, Moors and Christians festivals, sports competitions, gastronomic events, bullfighting and cinematographic or other celebrations, carnivals including San Sebastian, Heritage or Badajoz, among others.
The title of the piece that has managed to clinch the top spot is "Águilas de Carnaval", a design in which blue predominates this coastal town and which emphasizes the drawing of an exuberant woman with the curtain bottom fishing port and crowned by the Castle of San Juan.
