Yesterday Sunday, August 18, awards were handed Pescathón XX "Beaches of Eagles," an event organized by the cultural association of sport fishing "Urci City", which took place during the last weekend in the area between Cope Tower and Sisco, from 21 am on Saturday at 7 pm on Sunday.
The tournament was attended by fifty fishermen from different associations, who came from various parts of the Region of Murcia and the neighboring province of Alicante.
The awards, held at the Cabana bar (headquarters of the organizing group), was chaired by the Deputy Mayor of the consistory aquiline, Ana Maria Miñarro, and the president of the association "Urci City", Christopher Lee.
The champions of this Pescathón were the pairing of Juan Antonio Guindos and Jose Maria Paredes, sport fishing association "Villa of Eagles", with a total of 130 pieces weighing more than 13 kilos, which helped them to win the award for "Highest Catches".
The award for "Piece Mayor" went to Jose Antonio Aznar and José Miguel Oltra, Murcia association "Techno Fishing", which were made with a bass that weighed over a kilo.
The association "Urci City" won the second prize, thanks to the expertise of Peter Castro and Domingo Rubio, while residents of the "Lorca City" Mellinas and Manuel Antonio Diaz, rose to third place in the standings.
