Councilman Parks and Gardens, Isidro Carrasco, has announced the start of construction work of the new Plaza del Doctor Don Clemente Garcia Perez, named after the approval of Full Council held last March.
It is located in a municipal plot of 5000m2, located in the urbanization El Rubial, between Alameda Street and Avenue of the Mediterranean, near the IES King Carlos III.
The surface will be covered mostly by natural grass, on which other species will be planted as tipuanas, dragon, rosemary, palm trees and mulberry trees, these last aimed at creating areas shaded area next to the seating areas.
Carrasco also stated that "will keep the existing trees, responding to the request of the residents of this environment, and it will provide a sprinkler system."
La Plaza include several corridors, constructed in concrete form, which converge in two areas where benches and bins will be installed as well as several streetlights that have been recycled to save costs.
The work, which is making the company awarded the municipal gardens, will be finalized by next November.
