With the imminent arrival of World Alzheimer's Day, which will take place on Saturday, September 21, the local association that brings together people who have diagnosed this disease has organized an Open Day.
This will run until next Thursday, the 19th, from 10:30 to 12:30.
As explained psychologist Eagles Alzheimer Association, Jesus Teresa Herrera, the main reason that has led to this activity is that citizens are aware of about the work being done, while they can be partners to collaborate on projects that lead out.
The conference began this morning with a visit to the Councillor for Health, Ana Maria Miñarro, who toured the various departments and was able to talk with workers and patients who at the time made their daily exercises in the workshop of cognitive stimulation.
Miñarro took the opportunity to praise the work of this group and wanted to encourage the aquiline to become members.
The mayor of Health also highlighted the importance of early diagnosis to the disease, in order to put in place all the mechanisms that are today in our power to mitigate its effect.
Finally, the mayor of Health announced that this week will lead to the general affairs committee a proposal to declare Eagles "Solidarity City with Alzheimer's."
Remember that the next Friday, September 20th, the Alzheimer's Association Eagles install an information booth in the Plaza of Spain will be open from 10:30 to 13:30 hours.
