Coinciding with the third Sunday of each month, the Department of Tourism of the City of Eagle take place next weekend a new installment of the "Rail Trail", a free visit and guided by Angel Menchón, a member of the cultural association Friends of the Railroad "The Labradorcico" and expert on trains, which combines the cultural with the playful and adds value to the existing major railway heritage in the city.
The next Sunday, September 22, at 10 am, will begin in the Plaza de Isaac Peral, which houses the monument to the railway (a machine locomotive built in 1889 in Glasgow).
Walking the promenade to the Railway Bridge "Snakes", declared of cultural interest, to continue walking along the path of the stove, where are located several tunnels and mineral deposits, some of them recently renovated.
In the same place are several viewpoints, with spectacular views of the Bay, and the "Pier Stove", a majestic mineral carrier built in 1901 by the British Company Southeastern Railway.
The tour will continue with a visit to the railway station, in which lies under the Railway Museum, which includes a photo exhibition and utensils used throughout history as well as several model trains in motion, ending with the last stop in the restored "Don Jorge Garden House", a building from the early twentieth century eclectic style, which was the former residence of George Lee Bog, director of the railroad company Lorca-Baza-Aguilas between 1907 and 1936.
Those interested in participating must register in advance at the Tourist Office, while space tourist train.
