Eagles citizens were met last night as one of his greatest desires, after more than five years closed for renovation and after many vicissitudes, opened its doors to the public with a remodeled and functional House of Culture "Francisco Rabal".
The mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, along with an outstanding number of councilors and hooked together by artist Teresa Rabal, daughter of the famous actor, and the husband of this, the famous Eduardo Rodrigo also visited the new facilities that are intended to again become an icon of culture in the town.
The works involved to give the building a new plant, which has completely changed the image outside of the house, giving it an edgy, mainly due to large windows that provide a great source of natural light.
Furthermore, it has placed a lift to serve the entire building and installed an air conditioning system, both in the new plant as the existing ones.
This infrastructure hosts: municipal library, offices, children's reading room, toilets and a study hall.
The restoration works have also affected the other two floors, mainly in areas such as electricity, coatings and screeds.
The second floor houses multipurpose rooms, room-museum photographer José Matrán and a sample of some of the trophies that Teresa Rabal has gotten over his award-winning career.
From the first floor highlights the hall conditioning, which has created a handicapped zone.
This features a totally renovated, new stalls and lighting and sound art.
At this level also finds a remodeled showroom "Manuel Coronado" and some of the many awards that were granted to the illustrious player aquiline Paco Rabal, during his long and successful film career.
The outdoor area of ​​the building also has benefited from these works, since there have been various improvement works, obtaining a final result renovated Culture House with 1,000 square meters of space for public use.
During the opening ceremony, the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, the artist Teresa Rabal and the Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Francisco Miguel Martínez, offered some words that made it clear his joy at the fact that help recover these agencies to increase the city's cultural movement.
Hernandez showed that the city government is developing a line of action, as infrastructure is concerned, focusing on two key areas: revival and execution of the works that were paralyzed (The Placetón, House of Culture, the Railway Bridge Boulevard of the Snakes, Nursery School, Interpretation Center of the Sea, etc..) and implementation of new projects (fairgrounds, Port Promenade, rehabilitation of the Mills and their environment, Squares and Green Zones, Rural Roads under , adequacy of Streets, etc..).
This, said the mayor, not without much effort, due to the current economic situation, and with the clear intention of improving Eagles and the quality of life of its citizens.
The event also included the screening of a video on these new units and a piano recital, by Ernesto Martinez, and the opening of the exhibition "Urban Expression" local painter Lorenzo Martinez.
