The Full Council last night approved the appointment of Luis Díaz Martínez as official chronicler of the town of Eagle, with the votes of all the councilors present therein.
While this pastor and aquiline historian has held the post since 2003, the General Statutes of the Association of Writers require this title to be designated by the Full Council, a fact that was endorsed yesterday.
During the plenary session, Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Francisco Miguel Martínez, mentioned some of the many publications in which Luis Diaz has been offering detailed and documented information on the life and customs of the village.
The mayor also outlined the conferences and newspaper articles, over the years, have contributed to the aquiline are knowledgeable about many historical events that took place in the city.
Similarly, said the Municipal Archive has been enriched with antique original documents donated Luis Diaz, along with archaeological artifacts now on display at the Museum of Eagles.
