Domingo López Alonso Sánchez Lorenzo and Lorenzo were first prize winners in each category, the Bouquet XX Tomato Contest, held in the vicinity of the Church of Garrobillo within the Feasts of the Immaculate Conception, organized by the Eagles Farmers Association (BDA) in collaboration with BMN-Cajamurcia Department of Agriculture and the City of Eagle.
This year, the event celebrated its twentieth anniversary, highlighting the roots of this activity among farmers Eagles.
In the event the record number of 58 participants, who were regaled with handmade ceramic basin were enrolled.
The jury was composed of representatives of trading companies Eagles: Miguel Sanchez for AGRASA, Silvia Escarabajal by EXPOÁGUILAS, the independent buyer Simón Díaz and Juan Garcia for COAGUILAS, being the opinion of the independent jury and the final decision to the full satisfaction of all.
Participants were divided into two categories, with three awards for tomato truss and three for tomato ranch.
The first awards were presented by the mayor of Eagle, Bartolomé Hernández, president of BDA and Jose Martinez.
To the winners they were presented with a Christmas hamper and a pretty ceramic tray.
