The Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Francisco Miguel Martínez, opened last night an exhibition of artist Gloria Diaz, under the title "Graphic Works" will be open until January 12 in the Auditorium and Congress Palace "Infanta Elena" Eagles.
The exhibition includes some 70 works, focusing on prints and with very different themes: astrolabes, erotic drawings, velajes, salt and finally "timeless Rebeca" a series of 36 works with mannequins and corsets as protagonists.
Gloria Diaz has a degree in Fine Arts and was a professor of Drawing and Pictorial Art Research at the University of La Laguna.
He was also director of the School of Art and Design in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and in 1993 he became professor in the discipline of artistic drawing, issued by the Ministry of Education, Government of the Canary Islands.
For 15 years passing seasons in Águilas, a municipality in which he found very good friends, including renowned painter Manuel Coronado aquiline is.
"Graphic works" can be visited from 18:15 to 21 hours, from Tuesday to Sunday in the Temporary Exhibition Hall.
