After Murcia, the locals led the ranking of domestic tourists |
The Tourist Office of Eagles 30,557 people attended during 2013, 4.35% more than the previous year, as is clear from statistical report released this morning by the mayor responsible for this area in the Consistory aquiline, Clara Valverde, which reflects that 22,867 were domestic (74'82%) and 7,626 foreigners (24'96%), whereas 0.22% showed no provenance.
By region, after Murcia, the major tourists were locals (28'09%), Catalan (15'69%) and Alicante (6.35%), the latter with a significant increase over previous years, along other areas of the country.
Foreign tourism led the UK (35'98%), followed by France (29'03%) and Germany (13'02%) again.
Then, Netherlands (4.35%) and Belgium (4.04%), among others.
Among the information requested by visitors, highlighted: plans and locations (31'66%), cultural and scenic attractions (24'29%), fiestas and other events (17'11%) and local consultations, transport and various services.
As for the age of the tourists, the highest percentage continues to correspond to the range that goes from 30 to 45, next to family holidays that overrides the elderly and young.
The Tourism Web www.aguilas.es visits far exceeded the previous year, estimated at 83,766.
From January to December 2013 a total of 113,437 visits were recorded, indicating the importance of new media tourist information on the Internet.
