Auditorium and Congress Palace "Infanta Elena" is hosting an exhibition of Basque painter Kontxa Escribano, where are exhibited over thirty expressionist paintings in which the human figure is the main character.
The exhibition was inaugurated this afternoon, during a ceremony which was chaired by the Councillor for Culture and Heritage, Francisco Miguel Martínez, together with other local authorities and aquiline painter Manuel Coronado, as well as other guests who wanted to tuck the artist in this first solo exhibition held in the town.
Escribano, born in Bilbao, has lived in different cities and eighteen years living in the hamlet of Águilas aquiline, a place that has given him the peace to get into the paint, a hobby that now fourteen years became his great passion.
His work conveys strength and intelligence, revealing to characters coming out of a very personal and original world, revealing a refined technique that betrays his art.
It will be open until January 2, in the Temporary Exhibition Hall, Tuesday-Sunday at 18:15 hours to 21 hours.
