The Eagles Casino hosted the first competition of sugarless sweets and cakes, organized by the Diabetic Association of Eagles (ADIA), in collaboration with the Department of Health aquiline Consistory.
The mayor of this area, Ana María Miñarro and President of ADIA, Juan Carlos Prisons, chaired this event sought to convey diabetics, moderately and knowing the composition of candy can also enjoy tasty desserts.
The jury awarded the most delicious and original dishes, giving some awards went to:
First prize: Yolanda Gallego, with "Cheesecake".
Second prize: Mercedes García, with "Kit Kat chocolate and biscuits."
Award for best decoration: Juana Maria Martinez, with "Shopping profiteroles".
After delivery of distinctions, the Councillor for Health highlighted the difficulty of developing sugar sweets and cakes, as traditional recipes always include this ingredient, a component that participants replaced by sweeteners to create truly exquisite desserts, stressed Miñarro.
