The House of Culture Francisco Rabal hosted last weekend, the inaugural meeting of writers and short story competition organized by the Department of Culture and Heritage of the City of Eagle and sponsored by various commercial firms.
The event, which was attended by large audience, began with the participation of the authors: Juan José Navarro, Francisco José Pedro Vera and Motorcycles, who read different fragments of his works and attended to questions from the audience.
After the performance the singer and guitarist José Ramón Local, contest participants had written short stories that had been made on the spot, under the premise of not exceeding ten lines and refer to a real or fictional experience, lived in Águilas.
After the jury deliberation, the council of Culture and Women, Francisco Miguel Martínez and María Martínez Sponsorship beside the representative of the firm Citro Plant, Luis Garcia, one of the sponsors of the act, proceeded to deliver the awards to the three top finishers:
First prize: Felipe Araya Quezada.
Second prize: Maria Segura García.
Third prize: María del Carmen Moreno Casado.
