Last weekend at Eagles opened a new green area, located in the El Rubial, which bears the name of "Plaza del Doctor Don Clemente García Pérez".

The name of this roundabout was approved in plenary session, in March last year, seeking thereby to pay tribute to this well-known and reputed doctor, who for years has practiced in the town, noting his professionalism and his immense humanitarian.

Eagles Mayor Bartolome Hernandez, accompanied by a large group of councilors and with Dr. Clemente himself, and numerous family and friends of this, attended the opening ceremony of the square of 5,000 m2, located between Alameda Street and Avenue Mediterranean.

As explained Councilman Parks and Gardens, Isidro Carrasco, in this action has been followed the natural terrain topographic pattern, carrying out the installation of a modern irrigation system with water tank, which will allow storing water from desalination or, alternatively, recycled, while allowing a flow rate and pressure sufficient to irrigate this new space, as well as the adjacent garden, which had suffered considerable losses deficit irrigation.

Carrasco said that the main route has been designed from four trails in stamped concrete flooring that converge on two points, whose margins are rows of mulberry trees and a hedge of rosemary.

In each of the sections that form the highlights a garden vegetation.

Thus, in the first sector highlights an area of ​​dragon trees, palms in the second, the third prevail shrubs and birds of paradise are arranged on a dome covered pine bark and finally in the fourth sector, there is a variety: figs, washintonias palms, jacaranda, tipuanas, olive, pine and chefleras, among other species.

Once they have matured all existing plants, an information panel will be installed to identify the most relevant vegetation of the garden, along with a QR coding so that from any smartphone can access the inventory of the species of this square.

The gazebo has a corresponding street furniture (benches, bins ...) as well as a system of energy-efficient lighting that make this place an ideal environment for relaxation and the environment in the town center of the city.
