This morning was the Carnival XIII regatta during a ceremony that was conducted by the mayor of Eagle, Bartolome Hernandez, Councilwoman Celebration, Clara Valverde, President of the Yacht Club, Miguel Lopez, secretary of the Federation of Peñas Carnival, Pedro Molina, and the Director of Communications and External Relations Estrella Levante, Juan Miguel Gómez, signature sponsor of this event.
A total of 56 boats have registered to participate in this test, qualifying for the regional championship Cruise, with lengths between 7 and 14 meters from different ports of the region of Murcia and other neighboring regions, such as Andalusia and Valencia.
The regatta will be held in two rounds and is designed in a triangle of 18 miles, located between Cabo Cope, Eagle Bay and Isla de Terreros.
The first competition will take place this Sunday, February 23, and the second on Saturday, March 1.
The latter with the peculiarity that most of the crew will disguise.
The mayor highlighted the roots of this test within the carnival calendar, thanks to the excellent organization of the board of the Yacht Club of Eagle, as well as the collaboration of individuals and other entities such as the Marina Juan Montiel, who give their views mooring to accommodate the large fleet remains that during those days in the city.
Meanwhile, the organizers wanted to influence the collaboration of institutions, groups and businesses that make it possible for this competition can be run each year satisfactorily, while stressed that next Saturday, February 22, Club Cartagena regatta held Transit VI Regatta, in order to unify the boats participating in this test.
