Over 400 athletes gathered yesterday at Eagles, to participate in the XX Duathlon Carnival, which developed in the categories: absolute, cadet, child, juvenile, pre-baby and youngest.
Accompanied by a splendid day, athletes, many of them in costume, for disputed this competition enabled between Levante Bay Road and Bypass circuit.
The overall winners were Ritchie Nicholls (male), with a time of 53 minutes and 56 seconds, and Eimear Mullan (female), with a mark of 60 minutes and 12 seconds.
They were followed in second and third place, Christopher Garcia and Conor Murphy in men and Eva Sánchez and María Raquel Miras women.
The awards were presented by the mayor of Eagle, Bartolomé Hernández, and the Councillor for Sports, Diego Martinez, who was accompanied by the president of the Federation of Murcia Triathlon Diego Calvo and Characters Eagles Carnival 2014 in their mode adult and child.
